The Recurse Center is an innovative computer coding school and placement agency that was founded in Soho. When their lease neared its expiration, they found they were priced out of the Soho office market. It was time for a new neighborhood.
After identifying their key success levers (proximity to students and potential employers being most important) , Charlotte and David suggested a move to Downtown Brooklyn based on transportation options and the significant tax breaks encouraging businesses to locate in the area.
